I’ve got time to spare now

It started to look like I won’t be able to make all of the required repairs to the Roadmaster in time to meet the 15 day limit on my ticket. I gave up trying to find a way to get the car fixed faster today and went down to the Provincial Offences courthouse to pay the $360 fine. The clerk in administration was really surprised at the total amount of the fine and advised me not to pay it yet. Apparently the 15 days is really the time allowed to plead not guilty to the charges. Since I plan on pleading guilty with a reduction in fine or time extension, I can take advantage of the extra 30 days that the administration office tacks on there for processing time. Now I can get the car fixed properly, and hopefully still get the $360 fine reduced!
