Meanwhile in the garage
I’ve always been a tool geek. For a long time I put a lot of effort towards ensuring that I always had whatever tools I might require on hand in advance. My business partner often referred to our service van as being equipped like a fire truck. Always ready with everything it needed and ready to roll on a moments notice. I liked that idea. There’s nothing more frustrating than not having a tool on hand when it’s required. Having very minimal experience with servicing vehicles I’ve never really had much in the way of useful tools to appropriately service my new hobby. I’ve been rectifying that wherever possible of late and picking up useful items when they come on sale.
I managed to get a few hours in the garage recently not really working on a car so much as getting organized. Canadian Tire is re-vamping their line of garage tool chests and had a really great sale on rolling tool chests so I picked up another one. This second chest gave me the room to stretch our my tools and make finding and using them more manageable. It was well worth the time to get myself set up and ready to work. I’m now more anxious than ever to get back to work. I’ve filled all but one of the drawers, but these are the ones that actually look organized and I find the most pleasing.
As small as my garage and tool set are, I’m very happy with the results and wanted to share.
Making the best of what you have is what it’s all about.
Think about it. 😉
