Barrie Auto Flea Market
I’ve been hearing stories for some time about just how large the Automotive Flea Markets hosted in Barrie are. It sounded to me like this place is mecca for folks looking for auto parts. There are two of these fairs each year, one in the spring/summer and one in the fall. The Mrs. and I drove up to Barrie thinking we’d spend a few hours looking around and then move on to some other attractions in the area. Secretly I was really hoping to find some interior trim panels for my Roadmaster, however unlikely that might have been.
The trip to Barrie took just under 2-1/2 hours from my home. Planning on another 2-12 hours driving home we thought we would have a good day traveling around the area and seeing the sights.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The Mrs. and I moved through the swap meet pretty quickly once we realized just how large it actually was. Moving at a pretty fair pace and not really stopping too much we finally made it back to the car after 8 hours of walking. We never did make it anywhere else and after a full day of walking outside in the sun we were more than happy to just head home. While I didn’t manage to find any parts that were of any use to me, we had a great time and will happily go again.
