A little digital artistry

From time to time I like to sit down and surf the ‘Net for ideas and tips on…well pretty much everything. OK, truth be told, I’d hook a T1 to my veins if I could figure out a foolproof way to filter spam. In the meantime, I do enjoy prowling around looking at pictures of cars, wheels and lots of other stuff.

Today I located a beautiful picture of a nicely cleaned up 94/95 Roadmaster wagon. Some of it’s ideas aren’t quite as subtle as I would like but overall the wagon is pretty sharp.

By sheer coincidence, a few moments later I stumbled across an artists re-imagining of that same wagon updated with some 2010 styling. Many of my fellow B-Body enthusiasts were pretty excited about Top Gear’s concept drawings of a possible 2011/2012 restyling of the Roadmaster wagon. Personally, I thought the drawing was a little too stylized and a lot of it just wasn’t doing it for me. Here we have an artists idea of another option that a possible future Roadmaster wagon might take. While I’m not in love with the entire vehicle, there are many aspects that I could seriously get into.

So far, I’ve been unable to determine just who created the drawing. The website where I located the image was little more than a malware trap and I had to get a little creative to get the image extracted without taking the risk of actually visiting the website. The initials on the image haven’t helped. If anyone knows just where this came from please let me know in the comments section.

  1. An interesting update on an old chassis.

To be totally honest, I like the original wagon much better.

That front end looks like all of the cars produced today…

Could be a Toyota, Honda, Buick, or whatever…

I do like the treatment to the B and C pillars.

    Thanks for posting this!
